1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to StitchLoop ("we," "our," "us," "the Platform," or "the Service"). By accessing or using our community site for sharing and selling knitting and crochet patterns, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 16 years old to use StitchLoop. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. USER CONTENT

4.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload to StitchLoop, including knitting and crochet patterns. By uploading content to StitchLoop, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

4.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to upload, post, or share content that:

  • Infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or offensive
  • Harasses or threatens other users

4.3 Pattern Authenticity

All patterns uploaded must be original works created by you or content you have permission to distribute. We actively protect creators by uniquely stamping all pattern downloads to prevent theft and unauthorized redistribution. We reserve the right to remove any content that appears to violate intellectual property rights.

4.4 Comments and Reviews

Users may leave comments and reviews on patterns. All comments and reviews must be respectful and constructive. Harmful or abusive comments will be removed, and users posting such content will receive warnings. Continued violations may result in account suspension or termination.

5. PURCHASES AND PAYMENTS

5.1 Pattern Sales

StitchLoop charges a 2% commission on all pattern sales. This fee is automatically deducted from the payment processed.

5.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Stripe. You agree to comply with Stripe's terms of service when making or receiving payments through our Service.

5.3 Refund Policy

All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for pattern purchases under any circumstances. By purchasing a pattern, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

6. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Attempt to access accounts or data not belonging to you
  • Use automated methods to access or collect data from the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

Engaging in prohibited conduct may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account at our sole discretion.

7. TERMINATION

7.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, you will have one month to remove all of your data from the Platform.

7.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, you will have one month to remove all of your data from the Platform, after which it will be irreversibly deleted.

7.3 Effect of Termination

After the one-month period following account termination, all of your content and personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems and cannot be recovered.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL STITCHLOOP, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

10. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StitchLoop and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Utah.

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
